The efficiency of feeding the bulls-producers with complex of biologically active substances having antioxidant properties

The problem of obtaining of high-quality sperm production from bulls-producers is not fully resolved currently, as evidenced by the statistics of their rejection. A recent research found that one of the causes of low productivity of animals is chronicle free radical pathology arising from the reduction of stocks of biological antioxidants in the body and lack of them in the diet feeding. Violations of the conditions of animals, lack of exercise, stress increase of free radical processes in the body, and therefore, the consumption of endogenous biological antioxidants increases significantly; increased the role of antioxidants that are introduced into the organism from outside with feeds or parenteral. The aim of the research is to study the influence of the complex of biologically active substances with antioxidant properties on quantitative and qualitative characteristics of sperm production of breeding bulls. Research was performed with the method of the periods in conditions of specialized enterprise on 15 bulls-producers of black-and-white and Holstein breeds. Conditions of feeding, maintenance and operation of the animals were the same. In the experimental period, within 150 days of the bulls individually feed with the complex substance, containing vitamins А, E, H, succinic acid and a filler in an optimally balanced quantities in a daily dose of 15 g/animal. The results obtained testify to the effectiveness of the studied complex of biologically active substances with antioxidant properties with respect to maintaining high quality sperm production of bulls-producers managed to reduce the number of defective ejaculates in the experimental period by 42.7% (P<0.05). By reducing the amount of defective sperm increased efficiency of operation of bulls: on average one bull got 56.7% (P<0.05) more frozen doses of semen in comparison with the prior period of experience.
